Evergreen Initiative is a youth-centric capacity building organization which invests massively in Leadership and Human Capital Development as a tool for unlocking the potential of young Nigerians via tailored trainings , sensitization programs, media campaigns and advocacy. The Organization was birthed due to the rising deficit in human and leadership capital development in Nigeria.
Our mission is to empower young Nigerians with the relevant skills, knowledge, and network to be the change makers and drivers of sustainable development in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. We aim to do this by making quality basic education accessible to every Nigerian child alongside building the capacity of young Nigerians, enabling them to thrive in the society.
We envision a society where every individual is empowered with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive regardless of their background.
Our theory of change is rooted in the belief that an investment in Human Capital Development, would lead to the emergence of a wellequipped, educated, and enlightened society, which would positively impact economic growth, and would lead to a decline in criminal activities. This would lead to the creation of a competitive society, where individuals are adjudged based on merit, competence, and characterbridging the gap of inequality and initiating social justice.

Your contributions directly impact breaking down barriers and fostering empowerment. Here is an opportunity to imact the lives of young Nigerians. Gain valuable experience, enhance volunteering skills, and broaden your understanding of diversity. Connect with like-minded peers, and build lasting friendships. Join a movement towards a future where every individual is empowered with necessary skills and knowledge to thrive regardless of their background.
Over the years Nigerian women and girls have been side-lined in major aspects of the Nigerian society, which can be largely attributed to our cultural and religious beliefs, therefore making this essential constituent of the society disadvantaged. We believe national development is an all-round effort, and with over 50% of our population disadvantaged, our ability to attain this impossible. This belief has driven our work to advocate for equal rights and privileges for the girl- child, whilst also remoulding their belief systems so they are not limited by the norms of the society.
Through our Project TutorED we reach out to low income communities where we train the residents on viable economic skills, provide them with materials to further their trades and set up skill acquisition centres in those communities with the goal of financial independence, sustainable growth and development.
With the increase in the numbers of out of school children in Nigeria, which stands at about 13 million children, we have made it our priority to create access to quality education to less privileged children in low- income communities through our summer school program and scholarship trust fund.
